“Oh the places you will go” -Dr. Seuss
There are three types of people in this world- your savers, spenders, and experiencers. For example, my mother is a saver, because she likes to deposit that hard earned cash into her savings. She doesn’t eat out much, engage in retail therapy, or take trips too often. Then you have your spenders, or those people who get a paycheck and immediately purchase goods and services. Last, but not least, you have your experiencers. Experiencers are all about living life, taking risks, and pursuing adventures! This is what I most identify with, although retail therapy is nice from time to time (especially in this current quarantine).
As an experiencer, I love anything to do with opting outside. I want to live my life on my own terms and to its fullest, YOLO! So it made me think why not create a bucket list? I’ve done this as a kid, but now that I’ve developed into a confident and independent young adult, why not solidify those top goals?
My Bucket List
I decided to compartmentalize (yes I am very type A) my bucket list items into three areas: new skills, life milestones, and travel. Of course, it is difficult, if not impossible, to itemize every goal, as life is dynamic and ever changing. I might undergo experiences that are important to my development and growth that I thought I didn’t need but proved to be most beneficial. And I might complete some bucket list items that I presumed would add value to my life, but did not actually change feelings of happiness or accomplishment. Keeping this in mind, my bucket list is coined by current life ambitions.
Here are my top 10 goals (20 for travel) for each bucket list entry in no particular order:
