How is it that we are already towards the end of February and I am just now getting around to writing my New Years blog post?
I guess it is safe to say that life has been busy, but in a good way. We adopted Alfie, our second Corgi in the New Year, and since Evan proposed to me last November, we have been busy planning our wedding, securing our wedding venue and various vendors, and readying our save the dates to be sent out to our guests. Good news is that we have a date set – Friday, October 13th, 2023, and will be wed in our home town of South Lake Tahoe, CA.
Planning and celebrating our wedding will absolutely be the highlight of 2023, but there are other exciting things in store as well!
Next month, I will be heading to Phoenix, AZ, for the Friday, March 17th, kick-off Taylor Swift Eras Tour. I will be attending the concert with some friends (shout out to my friend Lauren for securing tickets), and I will, of course, be getting my nails done and dressing up for the main event. It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me. Clearly, I’m in the Anti-Hero club.
Towards the end of March we will be celebrating Comet the Corgi’s third birthday, and then in April, Evan and I will  be celebrating our 30th birthdays. Yes, the three of us are Aries babies, so you know we will be bringing the fire! 😉
Of course, the April festivities won’t just end with Evan and I leaving our 20s and youth behind, but will also consist of taking engagement photos with my friend Andee. She is a phenomenal photographer so we are really excited to have her capture this special moment in our lives.
Fast forward to the Summer! We haven’t planned specific outdoor adventures yet, but I predict we will be camping with the pups around Utah and hopefully Wyoming. We also plan to make a trip home to the lake and taste our wedding cake! Additionally, my girls will be joining me in Santa Barbara for my bachelorette party. Things are definitely about to get groooovvvyyy baby…
The big events will occur during the fall, with a few friend’s weddings taking place in locations like South Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco/the surround Bay Area. Not to mention, we will be celebrating our wedding as well in October! I cannot begin to contain my excitement in getting to marry my best friend and having our boys walk us down the aisle. Alfie will be the flower boy and Comet the ring bearer.
Finally, to round out the year, we will be ringing in Alfie’s second birthday December 6th, as well as attending another friend’s wedding in Los Angeles early January.
2022 was such a great year, but I am giddy about what is in store for 2023. It is hard to imagine, but can a good year lead into an even better year? Time will tell, but I know there are serendipitous milestone moments on the horizon to look forward to…
